ParboldUnLimited was formed in January 2014 and is a not-for-profit, community organisation.
“to add value to our Community, to highlight the unique spirit that is Parbold and to help local groups and causes fulfill their aims by creating opportunities to help raise funds towards those aims. To contribute to the promotion of health and wellbeing within the community through the roles we play within our group”.
Our primary funding comes from the monthly Flea Markets held in Parbold Village Hall on the last Sunday of every month.
The Flea Markets give an opportunity for local organisations and charities to raise money by collecting the admission payments, provide catering and use space within the market for their own stall and raffle/tombola.
Organisations that have taken advantage of this arrangement include:
Christies, Salford Royal Hospital, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Handicapped Childrens’ Pilgrimage Trust, the Hut on the Hill, Richard Durnings School PTA, the Parbold Village Festival and Dalton Cricket Club.
Each year, the Flea Markets help to raise over £6,000 for these worthwhile causes.
ParboldUnLimited contributes £2,400 annually to the Parbold Community Association for use of the Village Hall for these markets.
In the community, ParboldUnLimited provides assistance to other groups in the village.
At the Village Festival, we provide the Barbeque and organise the Festival Barn Dance.
With Douglas Valley Lions, we helped to stage the first ‘Antiques Valuation Day’ at the Village Hall.
Working with the Scouts and Guides, we helped to ensure the success of the Christmas Fair by providing signage and advertising.
ParboldUnLimited donated funds to the Hut on the Hill.
